1. Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and profile image from your authentication provider (Clerk). When you use the app, we store your voice transcriptions, refined text, session metadata (duration, timestamps), and your preferences (presets, settings).

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

• Provide and improve the Ummless service
• Process your voice recordings into refined text
• Store your session history and preferences
• Communicate with you about your account

3. Voice Processing

Speech-to-text transcription happens locally on your device using the Whisper model. Your raw audio is never sent to our servers. Only the text transcript is sent to our servers for AI refinement via Anthropic's Claude API.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Clerk for authentication
• Convex for database and backend
• Anthropic (Claude) for AI text refinement

Each service processes data according to their own privacy policies.

5. Data Retention

Your session data and preferences are retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual sessions from your dashboard. If you delete your account, all associated data will be permanently removed.

6. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), authenticated API access, and server-side authorization checks on all data operations.
